I hope everyone’s weekend is off to a great start! It has literally been raining the past seven days in Indy so waking up to sunshine this morning was blissful! I’m currently still in pjs and enjoying coffee blogging. Feels good to have a lazy morning! This past week has been filled with my big move into the three bedroom condo we will be living as a married couple for our first year of marriage. Zac will be moving in after we marry in a few weeks! We will be building or renovating an existing home and I couldn’t be more thrilled for that adventure! In the meantime, I’ve been settling in and tackling decorating this new space. For the master bedroom I am using my Cali king and while the hunt for the perfect headboard is still going, I chose to buy another World Market round french bistro table and pair them together for the “his & hers” bedside tables. I just love the grain of the wood in these tables and the warmth they bring to the master bedroom. I wanted to bring in gold and brass accents throughout the space. These matching brass lamps and white lampshades are from target! They make such a timeless bold statement. The candle on my fiancé’s side is also from target. The white marble coasters are from West Elm. I am adding in Parisian accents to each room and this brassy gold Eiffel Tower from Marshalls is my favorite piece to date! The cup and saucer was a gift from my friend Lisa and I have used it in countless ways. I love reading in bed with a cup of hot tea. The white book holder was actually a gift from a bridal shower and although some might see it in the kitchen, I love breaking that expected rule and using decor pieces in different ways. We read the Bible together as a couple and it’s such a peaceful way to bond. My faith is very important to me and I love the energy it brings to have it open in the bedroom. Lately, I’ve been using the slogan “your inspiration comes from what you have right in front of you.” This saying is so true and it’s been allowing my decorating to reach new levels! I love filling a room with things that are functional and inspiring. What’s in your environment is so important to your well-being. I hope y’all enjoy seeing how I pull a room together and I can’t wait to share more of our new space on the blog.
Well, I’m off to enjoy a little more coffee and decor reading before running to Home Goods to decorate the fireplace mantle before date night! My fiancé is taking me to dinner and then we are catching Beauty and the Beast!!! I’m already counting the minutes to see the chandeliers in the movie:)
Thanks for stopping by!
