The beginning of a week is always better with some sort of inspiration and let’s face it, the case of the Mondays are no joke! I wanted to start off this week sharing our breakfast room details! I will be featuring our bigger dining table in the future but I love having an extra dining area right off the kitchen as well! This is a room for laughter, delightful table settings and homemade meals:) Since we are renting a a three bedroom condo while we look for the perfect house for us, I am restraining myself from buying a big floor rug or lighting fixture for this room even though I’ve already picked them out mentally… such a difficult thing to resist! I’ve been focusing on artwork and been so pleased with my finds so far! I peruse antiques stores any chance I get in search of the next piece. There’s something so peaceful about eating a meal with artwork as your view! The table is a Joss and Main find as a New Year’s sale! These world market chairs I lightened up to gray… they used to be black! The gray and white checked chair cushions I am obsessed with… a Home Goods find! The dinnerware I’ve featured before and it’s a Nantucket beaded design. The hydrangeas plant really brings out the blues that carry into the formal living room. The white linen napkins are a wedding gift and have been on my pottery barn wishlist for some time! I think what makes a breakfast room great are the details and setting an inviting vibe for your guests! I can’t wait to transition these details into our dream kitchen in the future but for now, we are enjoying making memories here!
