Happy Wednesday y’all! I’ll dive right in and start talking about Galena! We went on a family vacation back in late June with Zac’s family. Each year they choose a different location and so I was delighted to explore a new spot! It was a week of fun memories, shopping and poolside lounging. If you haven’t ventured to Galena, Illinois, I highly recommend it! We stayed in the Galena Territory and it was just breath taking! Our rental came with a view of the golf course and we had access to a beautiful pool overlooking the territory. We also got to enjoy the well equipped gym that overlooked the pool. There are scenic drives that take you by horse stables and also a waterfall. Downtown Galena is full of the cutest shops and best restaurants! I ended up finding two decor wall plates for our home at a home decor boutique! My hubby and I snuck in a date night at the DeSoto House Hotel the last night and learned a bit about the history of the place. The whole group took a day trip to Dubuque, Iowa to sight see one day and then another day we rented a pontoon for some river cruising! The hubby got in some great golf with the guys also! This is a great spot for families and couples that want to see some of the Midwest beauty!
